People may think Pinterest is a social media site/app. In fact it's a search engine. Just like google and other search engines. Pinterest uses content like Keywords for SEO (search engine optimization) to help the 3 million + people search to find that perfect husband project or the perfect outfit for a girls night out! Pinterest is also the #1 platform in the US.

So how will Pinterest help business owners or bloggers? well I have the answer to that!
A good strategy for Pinterest business is to create captivating content
Visual is what people look for when they're on Pinterest. It speaks volume, in fact there is a study that 90% of pinners will choose visuals rather than text. But don't let that shy away from making good content. Your pins should be designed to deliver on all fronts of Pinterest.
Ads are also a great way to follow through on Pinterest. Ads help target a specific interest, location, and age.
Who all likes to shop? I do. Good news. Pinterest recently introduced a shop tab for business profiles. It allows pinners to shop companies products directly from their profile.
Another great strategy is Pinterest Analytics. Makes a great way to stay on top of Audience insights and to plan ahead if you are needing to make adjustments.
ALSO…...
Pinterest will bring a MASSIVE amount of traffic back to your website. It will also increase Brand Authority.
Want to know how Pinterest will change your business in a whole new way?
PINS
That's right, Pins
So what is a Pin?
According to Pinterest, a pin is basically a "bookmark" which is very true. Pins help people save ideas that they love to their Pinterest account so they can always come back later.
A pin is everything to a business owner, blogger, etc.. When someone clicks on your pin they can see so much. The best thing is that they can go straight to your website from the pin.
This is why Pinterest is so amazing.
4 tips on how to design great images to get people to click on your pin.
1. Use the right Keywords in your pin description like what we just talked about above.
This is very important to your pin. You can utilize Pinterest search to see what keywords you can find. The results are auto-populated so you can just write them down.
2. Create multiple pin designs for new products or for each post you make.
Having different designs will give you a great way to see what design works best for your content.
3. Ask yourself, Is your Pin helpful?
When you're creating a Pin you always want to think about how you would use Pinterest. When you're on Pinterest you're wanting to solve a problem for everyone not just a certain family.
So if you say "How I spend my vacation with my family this summer." you want to say " 5 fantastic and affordable vacations for your family this summer."
See your solving a problem for everyone, that may be in debt, or a single parent? Make it Personal. and you're also providing a solution.
4. last but not least. DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU!
I can't tell you enough to do what you want in the end. Test your theories, trust me you will get advice from everyone but in the end don't let that deter you from what YOU want.
Some people will say ' oh well face images really won't work." well maybe not for them! TEST your pins..DO different designs, be creative with your pins. Something will work!
Pins, Pins, Pins are very important to Pinterest. That's probably how they got their name too.
So are you dreaming about how to use all this cool stuff that i just talked about to drive traffic to your website, and generate sales or client leads?
